Welcome, Year 7!

Hello, Year 7!

In English, we start our Year 7 lessons getting to know each other and doing some creative tasks. We have prepared your first activity below so that you can get a taste of what’s to come in the next few weeks. Please bring your work with you on your first day.

We are so excited to meet you and welcome you to the Scalby community!

All About Me

  • Create a poster all about your life entitled ‘All About Me’. You can use the questions below to help you. Once you have the answers, you can design your poster by hand or use the computer. You should use colours or pictures to add interest and fun to look at – how about including a self-portrait of some kind?

Questions:

  • Which primary school have you come from?
  • Where were you born?
  • What is the best place you have ever been?
  • What is your favourite food?
  • What kind of music do you like?
  • Tell me an interesting fact about you or someone in your family.
  • What are you curious about?
  • How would your friends and family describe you? Try to come up with three adjectives (describing words e.g., bright/funny/quirky)
  • What makes you happy?
  • What is your dream? What do you want to be/do when you’re older?
  • What makes you unique, different from everyone else?
  • What are you most proud of?
  • Do you have any special abilities or talents?
  • If you had an infinite (unlimited) amount of money, how would you use it?

Remember: Please bring your poster with you on your first day.
