Week One

Biology:

The first Biology topic you will encounter in Y9 is Cells. Within this, you will build on the knowledge you acquired in Y7 and look at each cell in a bit more detail. To familiarise yourself with this topic, first click on the BBC Bitesize link and engage with each activity before quizzing yourself on the topic at the end. Then, once you have familiarised yourself with the topic, move on to the second, third and fourth activities which will explore the topic in further detail. Completing these activities will ensure you return to your Y9 Science lessons with a solid base  of knowledge from which to work from.

Chemistry: 

The first Chemistry topic you will encounter in Y9 is the Particle Model. You will build on the knowledge you acquired in Y7 and learn about how particles move around within the Solid, Liquid and Gas state. To familiarise yourself with this topic, first click on the BBC Bitesize link and engage with each activity before quizzing yourself on the topic at the end. Then, once you have familiarised yourself with the topic, move on to the second, third and fourth activities which will explore the topic in further detail. Completing these activities will ensure you return to your Y9 Science lessons with a solid base of knowledge from which to work from.
