DCSF School Achievement & Attainment Tables

CertificateWe believe that every student who has a reasonable prospect of being graded at any level for GCSE, BTEC or OCR should be entered at the end of the course being followed. For Options subjects this will be at the end of Year 9, Year 10 and Year 11. For Core Subjects this will be at the end of Year 10 or Year 11, depending on when the student is ready. We are proud of our flexible curriculum, where we follow a ‘stage not age’ policy; students are entered for examinations when they are ready. Students are offered the opportunity to re-sit modules, or follow Option courses for an additional year if they would like to improve on a grade or grades.

Students who make insufficient progress, or produce if inadequate or insufficient coursework will be expected to attend compulsory intervention sessions after school from 2.30 – 3.30pm.

Should a student fail to complete the necessary coursework or fail to attend their final examination without a doctor's certificate, s/he will be required to reimburse the school for the examination fees for that subject.
