Citizenship is a National Curriculum subject that we as a school
are required to teach and report on as Keystages 3 and 4. It has always been a part of the curriculum at Scalby School
|

In Key Stage 3 our students follow a broad and balanced curriculum. Students
go on to have a totally open choice from a range of traditional GCSEs, Vocational
Qualifications or BTECs. Discover the departments that make up Scalby School,
their
facilities, and the courses available.
We recognise that
parents and students will want to have as much information as possible at their
disposal before making important decisions.
Please browse the subjects below for more detailed information - many subjects are
offering new qualification types for the first time this year.

| At Scalby School, students can study for a range of qualifications. Some, such as
GCSE, will be familiar to you whilst others may be less familiar, such as BTEC or
Digital Application.
Whatever the type of qualification, it will be awarded at either
Level 1 or Level 2. Level 1 is equivalent to Grade G – D at GCSE. Level 2 is equivalent
to Grade C – A* at GCSE.
